Btw - if existing legal immigrants should get no social benefits - then perhaps they shouldn't have to pay social secutiry taxes! I'm all in favor of that!! In fact, since there should be "no taxation without representation", I don't feel that green card holders and other legal immigrants should have to pay ANY taxes, since they cannot vote! Where's the petition for that? Maybe I should start one ... [:D] |

If you guys took the time to look at it, you would see there are many options to it.
You can select "stop all immigration" or any combination including "stop illegal immigration", "deport immigrant criminals", "eliminate chain migration", "end the H1-B program", etc. I'm for the majority of the options, just not the options where the door is completely closed. "Give us your smart and productive people. The rest stay home." |

How about a petition to stop useless petitions?
Just like gun laws, do you think banning immigration will stop people from migrating here? NOPE, there will just be a lot more illegal's here without the FEDS knowing about them. Which makes it much easier for terrorist cells to be created. I rather have more enforcement of illegals that are already here. |
