Hey guys my daughter wanted to say thanks and show you her hard earned major award. Its a Nikon archers choice rangefinder She wont be keeping it we are selling it to go down to the archery shop and put her a brand new bow on layaway that she will be paying off with birthday money and chore and cutting the neighbors grass this spring and summer. We definitely would not of won without all the support of this site and I just want to say thanks again everyone

Thanks so much everyone that was crazy and soo much fun my daughter was soooo excited then at the last 15 minutes freaking out Guess shell find out in the morning she won a new rangefinder

Ok everyone. Over the next week,I would appreciate if you could take a moment to vote for my daughter,Madison's picture on Facebook. I know some people don't don't do the Facebook thing but if you are we would appreciate your vote. This is a photo contest with a chance to win a piece of hunting gear for the top vote getters. Oh boy now ill stir some stuff up
Its a rem 700 sps tactical in a b&c m40 stock with a Nikon buckmaster 6-18 in weaver tactical rings Kind of my budget sniper build That was destined to be a coyote slaying machine but still haven't got out to the dogs yet. But last season our g&f allowed the .223 on deer sized game with a 65gr minimum. So I scored a few hundred 67gr sierra game kings and h4895 and found a hell of a load right off the bat at 3100fps, her being only 12 I planned to keep the shots under 150yds so I figured this would be better than shooting all summer with a bigger gun and creating a flinch. I couldn't of hoped for anything more out of that round She shot a doe through both shoulders and dropped in her tracks at 94yds and this guy at around 40yds straight down hill in the top of the shoulder and neck and it seriously looked like an anvil dropped out of the sky on him He fell right in the creek he was standing in and never even twitched we had to fish him out with paracord. Now for some gratuitous pics

Good rifle/load for her. 67SGK at 3100fps is a damn fine load, great bullets and work well put in the right spot. She obviously can do that. I'd rather see someone hunt with a lighter caliber that they can shoot well and put the bullet where it needs to be. Will kill game all day long like that.

Had to chase too many wounded animals because grown men shooting their 375 Loudenboomer flinching/anticipating recoil ect. Don't see that with the women and youngsters shooting .223's, 243's ect. as much.

Be sure to post her pic and story to Sierra's scrapbook page.

I've harvested a lot of critters but its nothing like when your kids are there doing it. I could hardly get a pic of her the first night with her doe I couldn't see through the damn viewfinder of the camera .... It must of been dusty out there that night
