Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7 PM for North and Central Texas. Sherman, D/FW, Waco, Temple, Austin, Paris, and Temple are a few cities included in the watch area. Destructive hail up to the size of baseballs are probable with the strongest storms. Storms will continue to develop over the next 90 minutes and push eastward this afternoon.

Is that north of Dallas?

My wife was driving back down from Wichita Falls and said it was quite a sight to see looking out her left window across the landscape.

This was her first time outside of the big cities in Texas and she had quite an enjoyable drive, her being a country girl from the Blue Ridge

Just north of Dallas.
I saw that cell on radar when she asked for a range and direction call on it.

It amazed her how far away it actually was. (fifty miles east when she was between Bowie Decatur)

She had never been out and about on the road in the great wide open spaces of the West

Fully enjoyed her 48 hours there, was like a breath of fresh air dealing with polite, open, sincere people instead of the tools she usually interacts with daily north of I70 and east of the Mississippi

Is this complete with extra super special "southern lightning" ? Distant cousin of "southern ice" that crippled vast swaths of the nation?

Damn pussy's what?

Your Okie education is showing.

Even though we were special enough to get mentioned twice in the warning, non event here.  Some vertical rain, a few pea sized pieces of hail, then it blew right past us and we're under blue skies again.
