I'm not sure anyone has started a list like this yet. But, I've seen a decent amount of movies that I thought were great, funny, odd or whatever, that seems to have passed by most people.

If you need a laugh and like silly offcenter movies (barre the obvious calssics like, spinal tap and reseviors dogs), or if you like odd subjects, try some of these...

1. Cube
2. Blood Guts Bullets & Octane
3. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
4. PI
5. Search for One-Eyed Jimi
6. Palookaville
7. American Movie (great one!)
8. Super Troopers (recent film, i think im the only one who loves this)
9. Slackers (recent film was funny as hell to me)
10. Waiting for Guffman
11. Les Visitors (french version)
12. Boondock Saints (a must!)
13. Clay Pigeons
14. Freddy Got Fingered (oh yes ill get some sh* for posting this movie)
15. A Simple Plan
16. Ravenous

if you know of any more, add em to the list!

This has to be one of the most asinine, stupid, gross movie ever...  When he "gets" into the deer, or when he masturbates the horse.  And what's up with the kid who is always getting bloodied????  The movie was a total waste of time.  How can you like this movie?

Cross of Iron - Sam Peckinpah's only war movie - The story of German soldiers on the Eastern Front. James Coburn, Maximillian Schell, James Mason. For a 1977 war movie, the combat scenes are EXCELLENT.  Very accurate weapons.  Even REAL Soviet T-34 tanks.

True Romance - Written by Quinton Tarantino - Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt and a couple others you'll recognize.  Some good violence and some funny lines.  Oldman asking "Is it white-boy day?" has always been a favorite scene of mine [:D]

I couldn't agree more with #10. Waiting for Guffman!  It gets better every time you watch it.  Here is one: "Things to do in Denver", Christopher Walken does an incrediable job!!

For those who like dumb comedy: Rocketman, it's rated PG. The main actor is Harlen ...... something. He has had several minor roles in movies like "Something about Mary" He is the guy in that movie who has the idea of "7 minute ABS".  Like I said if you like dumb comedies.  This is funny!

"Crimson Rivers" is a movie you might see in your video store.  It's a dubbed French murder mystery, starring Jean Reno, the main guy from The Professional.  The movie was pretty good.

Cannibal Women from the Avocado Jungle of Death.  Stars Bill Maher as a completely effeminate man, it also features the captivating Ms Shannon Tweed, Playmate February 1984.

Amazon Women from the Moon.  Another bad movie, but fun to watch.

Night of the Comet.  Sleeper hit from 1984, has the guy who played Chekoteh (sp?) on Voyager in one of his first roles.  So bad it's good.

No one listed the all-time cult flick for redneck gun owners: Pass The Ammo.

Stars Anne Potts, Tim Curry & Linda Kozlowski (Crocadile Dundee girl) & a few others. Way way funny movie, lots of guns & even a mortar! You'll spray beer if you watch it.

Little Big Man & Judge Roy Bean for westerns.

Deep Rising[;)] It has Treat Williams and Femke Janson in it. Its not a great movie, but it sure is entertaining. I want the boat Treat Williams character had in the movie.
Pretty much any action movie with him in it is good, including "The Substitute" series of movies.

More votes for:

Repo Man - "No one ever called Pablo Picasso an asshole."

Clerks - "I wasn't even supposed to be here today."

Office Space - "Looks likes sombody's got a case of the Mondays."

True Romance - "Can I get one of those Chesterfields?"

Super Troopers - "You boys want to go to Mexico?"

My submission:

Shawshank Redemption - "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'"  One great flick!

Some not mentioned above:

Tremors
(Just the first one, the sequils were worse than Power Rangers shows, cant wait for the series though)

The Rough Riders
(TNT flick about TR and the Volunteer Cav at San Juan Hill. Great movie, Tom Beringer as TR is both honest and hillarious)

Mall Rats, Dogma.
(Kevin Smith is a F*ing genius, giving Jay a FA in the end of Dogma is a BIIIIG mistake. Still, the "Holy Bartender" bit was funny)

The Prohphecy
(Just the first one with Chris Walken. Scary as F*, and a good storyline too. "Most people lose their faith because heaven shows them too little, I lost my faith because it showed me too much...")

Always
(Richard Dryfus, John Goodman, Holly Hunter, Brad Johnson. Came out about the same time as Ghost which was a poor movie IMHO. Always had gorgeous cinema, great aireal shots, excellent story line (a remake of a '40s flick) and a huge cast of fantastic actors.)

Flight of the Intruder
(Danny Glover, William Dafoe, Brad Johnson. Passed over as Gulf War propaganda by the mainstream, but I've yet to see a flight combat flick get the effects so good, the technology and use correct, and the story line so entertaining. I was realy dissapointed in the book after seeing the flick.)

Iron Eagle I
((or, why I miss the 80s)Jason Gedrick, Louis Gosset Jr. Rediculas storyline, wooden stereotype acting, realy bad technical editing and pretty preposterous overall, but its something more than the sum of its parts. Good memorable dialogue too. Especially by L.G.Jr. with that voice "You've got to believe that nothing can touch you, that plane you're in is a suit of armor, an iron eagle". The second one was a better all around film but its one of those movies you cant do twice)

Into The Sun
(Michael Pare, Anthony Michael Hall. Iron Eagle type movie about a stiff hot-shot pilot who gets assigned a stupid movie-star who's training for his next role. They get shot down in some "-istan" type country and deal with all the completely absurd situations they find themselves in. AMH plays off of Michale Pare's character so well, and has so damn many funny lines and facial expressions. Especially when he proves to be a better instinctive pilot than Pare's character.)

There are more but thats my list

If you really want to see a funny/weird cult classic, rent The Corndog Man starring Noble Willingham (played C.D. on Walker, Texas Ranger).  I laughed my ass off at this one! Requiem For a Dream

An independent movie that is really f#cked up, but still somehow a good movie. Whats really amazing is that they made Jennifer Connely ugly. I don't know how they did that.
