God, I didn't notice that brat in the picture until the second time I looked at this post.

How the hell does some marketing droid think that a obnoxious, overly cute kid will sell?  I can't get to my remote fast enough.

Holy shit!  I just looked up from my keyboard and she's on the tube this second (it's muted already).  Bad kharma I guess.

Later tonight when 1GUNRUNNER goes to sleep....
Buck#1: Do you think he'll be mad?
Buck#2: I hope not.
Buck#3: What the hell are you two talking about?
Buck#1: The fat guy in the red suit with the white beard!
Buck#2: Yeah, that asshole in the back!
Buck#3: I told you we shouldn't have gone south for the practice run. It was too early.
Buck#2: But we heard it 'twas the season!
Buck#3: Wrong season you dumbasses!
Just like the little man operating the light in the refrigerator, the really scary stuff happens when your're not around. [:D]

A little south of there.  Actually it's the Caribbean Dutch island of Saba.  About 25 miles equidistant from St. Barthelmy and St. Martin.  Saba is five square miles of ancient volcano peaks.  No sandy beaches just green hills descending into the Carib.  It's strikingly beautiful.  Settled by expat associates of Oliver Cromwell.  All the cottages are right out of a fairytale.  Sit in my favorite tiny bar in the the town of Windwardside when the sun sets, drink cheap Heineken and have to pull on a jscket cause you're 1800 ft up in the tradewinds above the heat and humidity.  We started going there when there were only about 800 people living on the island.

I've laughed at ground squirrels flying through the air wearing their innards as a hat.  I've snickered at deer walking into my sights, raccoons poaching from my pond and noticing my crossbow.. just a little too late.  I've hunted, many things and plan on hunting many, many more.

But Okay, I gotta ask.

How hard is it really... to shoot a damned Zebra?  [:D]

How bout a freaking Elephant from 35 yards away? http://www.accuratereloading.com/videos.html
I think hunting like that is just a little tasteless. There is no skill involved, they don't eat the meat, I just don't see the point....

Personally the only time I raise a firearm to an animal is when I know I'm goin to eat it, or it is being a pest (as in destructive). I just don't see the "sport" in hunting like that, I find myself fishing instead of hunting because of catch and release. Normally when I go "hunting" I just sit and watch, because I know I'm too lazy to take all that time and effort over a damn 1/4 lb of squirrel meat...

Not meant as a flame, just my .02

Yes, I am afraid of dead animals.

Because they are really flesh eating zombie animals.

They are just playing possum.

One dark night, they will stop staring at you.
One dark night, they will get down from their mounts.
One dark night, they will be hovering around your bed.
One dark night, they will wait untill you wake up.
One dark night, you will be screaming as they tear you apart.
One dark night, you will pray for death.
One dark night...

Bilster

PS  Eat them first and you will have no problem.
