Personally, I didn't like the Ergo when I had one.
Magpul or Regular. |
Magpul had the same design years ago...... As long as it is solid, go egro stock. Ive always thought it was badass.
Stick w the magpul grip |
The ergo is my favorite grip, however I got one recently that isn't near as soft or cushy as my first one.
If I had to pick between the 2, I'd go with the Magpul...but it would have been the MIAD.
I prefer the Magpul grips (or, to bring someone else into it, the Umbrella Corp grip), but who gives a fuck what we think, which feels better to you?
ETA: I don't know why I just focused on the grip. I prefer the CTR on most of my ARs, although I have some UBRs, a FCS, and one of the Ergo F93s on my Saiga 12. |
I feel like the ergo is a better grip for me. i feel like the smaller size of the ergo is more comfortable/controllable than the magpul. I don't care too much about how they look

Ergo looks much better to me . Love their grips, have 1 on my AR, the rest is magpul thou ( I have the DDM4 V7LW smooth rail)
Ergo just fits my hand better.
I'm thinking about getting that stock as well. |

View Quote I like the beavertail but MOE or oldschool hogue w/ finger grooves for when they get sweaty. ergo is too skinny, but again with the beavertail |
I was with you until you made this a "grip AND STOCK" comparison.
Ergo grip FTW. |

Magpul.
I had an Ergo that came with my PSA lower parts kit. Couldn't get used to the bulge in the back, so I switched to the MOE+ grip. Much better IMO. |
Ergo grip all the way.
I ordered an Ergo stock for my latest AR build....but I haven't seen it yet. I'll let you know how it works out when I get home! |

Stick w the magpul grip View Quote Actually Ergo originally manufactured that model stock and grip for Magpul. I don't know if Ergo bought the stock design or is just licensing it now. As for the grip, I seem to recall that Magpul resold the Ergo grip but in a Magpul package. (It has been a long time so I'm a bit fuzzy as to who designed the grip but I am sure that in the early days Ergo made both the stock and grip that Magpul sold.) As for my pick, I happen to like the current Magpul stock (2nd pic) though the original Magpul stock (1st pic) did have a unique feature in that you could put a pin in the track so that when you expanded the stock, it would only expand up to your desired setting.

Back in the pre-magpul days ergo was the ish. Now I am a umbrella corp/Moe K2 fan.

Probably, that Ergo stock was sold to Magpul or vice versa, can't remember for their own design. Both company's are awesome. Since I am 6'-4", the ergo stock fits me better as it adjusts nearly 2" longer than the magpul stocks. |

I think Fitzpatrick and the owner of Ergo were friends, or something. |

Probably should have kept it. |

I use ergo deluxe grips, wife likes moe +. Magpul stocks for both.

I still use the MIAD because my sopmod stock wont fit my extra bolt+firing pin. Id like to use a different grip but the ability to store a bolt is a deal breaker.

Getting rid of my Tango Downs and replacing them with Ergo grips

If you're gonna robot leg, why not go old school robot leg? (Magpul M93)

I like the ergo grip over the magpul, but the moe+ feels good too. As for stocks, I have never tried the ergo, but it looks like a less sturdy version of the ubr.

Never cared for the Magpul grip.
I actually find the USGI grip very comfortable. |

Quoted: Which is pretty much exactly what it is. Magpul developed the stock that Ergo now makes and sells, and its design led to the UBR. Gearscout tested a whole bunch of stocks a couple of years ago, and while the Ergo F93 did well, the UBR was king of taking a beating by a long, long way.
