1/3 with FSB; absolute height with folding irons because the weight distribution is a little less awkward.

At least, that's my simple-minded approach.

Absolute feels way more natural to me, in fact, the first time I set up a red dot I had no clue what I was doing and made it absolute by feel alone.

I'm having a hard time understanding this via the pictures and the comments:

Absolute: Running a red-dot, but are still looking down the full sight picture?

Lower 1/3 I understand
High 1/3 I don't.

If the purpose of a red-dot and/or holographic is to get the weapon on target quicker by just placing the red-dot (that is sighted in at user preferred ranges) then why go through all the trouble to line front and rear sight, now adding to place the dot on the top of the front?  What is the purpose of that?

No-co witness was my vote.  If the optic fails, the MBUIS are just a push button away.

Lower 1/3. Absolute co-witness makes the field of view way too busy.

I have mine set up for lower 1/3 co-witness, with a t-1 and flip up irons.

But if the optic should fail, i'm QDing that motherfucker, so I voted no cowitness.

Curious as to what the majority prefers and why.

Personally, I find it YMMV.

What say you?

You left out the most important option of all!!!

Flip up offset front and rear sights. Out of the way until needed.. Faster to deploy, just a simple 45 degree roll of the rifle. And as I have said before, and will say again, IT IS FAST. Try it, train it, love it.
