Boiled half dozen eggs a couple days ago.
Got busy with something else, so I left them uncracked in a pot half covered with water. Thought I would give them a try. After sitting at room temp, how long before you would not trust the eggs for human consumption? Can't wait for some of the replies

Don't know. But next time, try baking them in the oven. They'll turn out better.

If it floats it's bad, if it sinks to the bottom, still good to go.

Crack and smell. The Japanese eat fermented eggs all the time! Heck, I've eaten the 'thousand year' eggs, I survived.
