Is this a fake or just one that's been messed up by a bad polish job?

eta in pic 3 you can see where it looks like its bronze or copper under the plating

Fifty bucks? No, no, no. This is a Rouchefoucauld. The thinnest water-resistant watch in the world. Singularly unique, sculptured in design, hand-crafted in Switzerland, and water resistant to three atmospheres. This is *the* sports watch of the '80s. Six thousand, nine hundred and fifty five dollars retail!

Did the gold make your wrist turn green? I had that problem with my Relox. Maybe an allergic reaction.

I quit wearing it when my wrist turned black.

I may or may not have worn a fake TAG back in my younger years. It got ruined in a motorcycle wreck. Later, I found a watch I loved - a pre-TAG black & gold Heuer dive watch for $100 on eBay. It was great until the authorized service center ruined it.

Nowadays my daily tool watch is an F1 chrono. It's getting long in the tooth and probably costs more on battery changes than it's cash value.
