Debated starting this thread as I am not sure its in good taste being the one year anniversary of SH today, but fuck it.

The Monday after SH I bought an "M4 carbine" marked 6920, and a Colt Socom 2…both at normal prices.  Ended up having to sell a guitar and other music equipment to do so though.

Pretty much same a Colt 6920 Magpul from Wally.

I didn't purchase anything right after as I was still waiting in the State of IL to issue my FOID. I had been wanting to get into this for years, new job allowed unlimited money flow

In May I bought a Stag 15 model 1 and started to accessorize it with a quad rail, red/green dots, magnifier and a designator plus mags (wish those would reproduce in the dark), a small Ruger SR22 and about 500 rounds for each.

Then I find that you couldn't by 22LR to save your life in my area, been buying up lots of 22LR from Surplus Ammo online, and 223's every chance I get to be ready for the shortages coming someday, cause it will come. Illinois is doing it's damndest to remove my rights.

Do need to get another AR (want to build this one), a nice 20 gauge and a Springfield XD.

I bought pretty much everything gun related I have now except for some cleaning supplies.  In February I sent off for my M1 from the CMP and got it in June.  A week before the M1 arrived I bought a cheap .22 Plinkster at Walmart.  In July, I bought a CHinese Type 53, then a couple weeks later, found a smoking deal on Norinco SKS.  Then in August, I started my AR build by buying a lower.  The AR was finished a couple weeks ago, some of my parts were hard to find but I was building an M16 A2 clone, not a tacticool carbine with a fridge hanging off the rail.  In the meantime, I have been buying ammo, fortunately Tula is easy to find here so I've been grabbing some 7.62x39 and .223 when I can, and also grabbing the occasional box of 5.56.

Bought 2 S & W 15-22's at regular prices. Bought a .300 Blackout upper from PSA in the spring. Bought 2 FDE 15-22 mags from 44MAG for about $30.00 each a 6 months afterward, but no real because of stuff. Didn't sell, didn't buy much, and I have been biding my time. Just got a 300 Blackout suppressor started.

Bought my first AR a week before, sucked not being able to shoot it due to the lack of ammo availability. So I guess just mags and ammo whenever I could find them

prior to SH, I only owned a Mosin Nagant, Mossberg 500, Glock 23 and Stag AR. cliche, I know.

my collection has grown MUCH larger since then. everything else was purchased just in the last year... i wonder if i'm on some list.

A CMMG .22 drop in conversion with 3 mags and about 5k rounds of .22 all at pretty much normal prices.  The ammo may have been 1¢/rd too much.

4 stripped lowers, 6 LPKs, 6 Auto carrier groups, a few barrels, 20-10 round magazines because no one wanted them..............all at normal or discount prices.   It was amazing how most people only buy from Midway, Brownells, or Cheaper than Dirt.   I sold most of it after the panic set it.    People in NY sure liked new 10 round mags before April this year.  I did build up one AR from the parts and kept it at no cost to me    At the peak of the panic one just had to walk up to a gun show and people would throw money at you to buy AR and AR accessories.

Not a damn thing.

Once a good panic buy starts I shut down all purchasing.
I have no desire to buy a panic build from some manufacturer who sped up the assembly line any way they could.

All I bought was a few threaded barrels for various guns I owned. I had ordered the suppressors about a week before Sandy Hook, and as soon as I saw the death toll I was on the phone ordering the barrels I needed.

I ordered a stripped lower the day of Sandy Hook, but never received it... It was a Stag Arms and they got so busy that I ended up canceling the order after about 6 months. It worked out well, though, I held off buying things until about September and have since built a 6.8 SPC for about $750 and 2 1/2 KISS rifles for under $500 each.
