USPS workers get more paid vacations, paid sick leave and comps than any govt employees. There is a reason they are always billions in the hole

The results are about what I expected. I've never given one before, but now we live in a tiny rural area where everybody knows everybody and our mail carrier goes out of his way to be friendly and make sure our mail is taken care of so I figured it would be nice to show a little appreciation.
We're thinking a box of chocolates or a $10 gift card to Subway or the likes. |

The mailman being a government employee should not accept gratuities. Take some treats to the post office, probably okay. Give the mailman cash personally, not okay.

I really like our postman, but I have a hard time tipping anyone who makes more than I do...
IIRC, the average "Postal Carrier" makes more than $100k per year when you add up their salary, benefits, 20-year pension INCLUSIVE of all military time already served, etc. |
