 Ok, so I ordered a bunch of stuff the other day (it seems like everything I buy is thru Amazon Prime)... Of course, a bunch of Gun stuff (cleaning rods, Hopps, magpul grip). In addition, I ordered a Xmas gift for my mom - a Toshiba Encore tablet: What I received was an empty fckn box. Check it (yes, I just realized the guy on the cover giving me the LOOOOZER sign):   Thank you Amazon! I knew right away when I picked it up - the specs said 1 lb.... This just happened a few minutes ago as UPS dropped off the package (no tampering by UPS that I could tell). About to pick up the phone and call Amazon; let's watch this go over like a Led Zeppelin................................ edit: final outcome was they are shipping me another one! ... impressed |

Amazon has one of the easiest returns ever.
Just select "Return or replace items", select your reason for return and type out what happened. They'll email you a free return shipping label and usually refund your money as soon as that label is scanned by the freight company. |

Was it "shipped & sold" by Amazon or fulfilled by them and from a third party?
Probably makes no difference b/c I think fulfillment is done in the same logistic centers. Just curious. |

They should take care of you. The package weight listed as 1 lb. will clearly show that someone fucked up before your item even changed hands.

They should make it right...I had an order that went foul, they immediately shipped a second order and put out a "return to vendor" request on the first. They overnighted the new duplicate order, and 6 days later the first order that they shipped to the wrong address showed up at my house. They paid to have it returned.

WHOA! Amazon rocks. So, the nice Indian lady (I would have called her something else had this gone south), "talked to her supervisor". They are shipping out a new one and it will get here by Friday. She was WAY apologetic. I did not see this coming. As I'm sure you are thinking (as I was): Why trust me? I could have just gave them a line a bullshit and ended up with two items. So, I am impressed. It was probably some bean counter at their shipping center than 5 fingered it......

I wasn't going to post this until you had this resolved, but I bought a H4N Recorder on Monday and within a day the price had dropped $50.00. I called and was refunded the difference with no issue at all.
Amazon is putting people out of business for many reasons, but their customer service is one of the major reasons. I'm glad they worked it out for you. Eric |
