Okay, what i'm looking for here is an opinionated, biased answer from the members here. Not some racist, liberal propagandist website like the one posted above. [:D]

OK, you asked for it, you got it:

Kwanzaa is a made-up holiday for blacks, so they can push it in our faces ("our" being anyone not black) and show that they are different from the rest of us - that they have a distinct and unique culture that we are not included in.  The wife thinks it is very anti-semitic because it appears to be a mockery of Hannukah.  It appears to be a melange of pseudo-African make-up culture (no one in Africa celibrates this crap).

There, how's that?

MY OPINION:
Its another made-up holiday from Hallmark, like Mothers/fathers day, Valentines day, ect.
It was a way to get the black people to spend more money then they wouold have normally around Christmas.

If you look into the "traditions" of Kwanzaa, its like a little bit of everything all rolled up into one (but it does mirror alot of the  Jewish Hannukah type things)

Last year somebody said that it was an old traditional time of war.  Tribes killing killing other Tribes for the several days it was taking place.  BUT since they do that EVERYDAY now, they had to do somehting a little more peaceful on these special days.

No, greeting card companies didn't come up with Kwanzaa.  Some black sociology professor in the 60's came up with it, so blacks could have their own afro-centric sacred holiday instead of Christmas which they adopted from their enslavers.

I'll post this again at the start of Kwanzaa season next month...

Kwanzaa is a wholly and entirely NON-African holiday made up by a radical Marxist Black separatist "Black Studies Professor" the '70s to compete with Christmas and all Western Civilized holidays. If you go to Africa and say "Kwanzaa" they won't have a CLUE what you're talking about. It is NOT African in origin - it's anti-white, anti-American and most importantly, ANTI-CAPITALIST in origin.

It's SUPPOSEDLY based on the Nguzo Saba (seven guiding principles), one for each day of the observance, and is celebrated from December 26th to January 1st.

[red]* Umoja[/red]:  Unity stresses the importance of togetherness for the family and the community, which is reflected in the African saying, "I am We," or "I am because We are." ("We are Borg" = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Kujichagulia[/red]:  Self-Determination requires that we define our common interests and make decisions that are in the best interest of our family and community. (BULLSH!T - "The needs of the community outweigh the needs of me" = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Ujima[/red]:  Collective Work and Responsibility reminds us of our obligation to the past, present and future, and that we have a role to play in the community, society, and world. (HORSESH!T - Collectivism/Marxism/Socialism = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Ujamaa[/red]:  Cooperative economics emphasizes our collective economic strength and encourages us to meet common needs through mutual support. (ZULUSH!T - Gov't Control of Property/Business = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Nia[/red]:  Purpose encourages us to look within ourselves and to set personal goals that are beneficial to the community. (ELEPHANTSH!T - The individual works for, and is subordinate to, the greater collective = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Kuumba[/red]: Creativity makes use of our creative energies to build and maintain a strong and vibrant community. (HERDS-OF-ELEPHANTSH!T - "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their need" = Kwanzaa)

[red]* Imani[/red]: Faith focuses on honoring the best of our traditions, draws upon the best in ourselves, and helps us strive for a higher level of life for humankind, by affirming our self-worth and confidence in our ability to succeed and triumph in righteous struggle. (AFRIKAANASH!T- Affirm our self-worth by keeping racial quotas = Kwanzaa)

[red]
Kwanzaa is Collectivism.
Kwanzaa is Socialism.
Kwanzaa is a Marxist grab for the "hearts and minds" of the most gullible of the dumbest of the masses.
[/red]

So for KWANZAA where do you steal the gifts?

It is a racist holiday made up by black people who do not speak or understand a word of Swahili or have the slightest idea what tribe they are from.  Most of them have been in America longer than most whites, since slave imports ended in the 1810's.

It is not based on a religion, and I think the typical gifts are some sort of free cheese and dries beans, followed by some toys from the Marine Corps Toys for tots, the free food chits from the government and a new SUV from any parking lot to drive the collection home to the free house from the government.

And by the way, they asked real Africans about Kwanzaa and they laughed, hell they could not even name the tribes from Oakland where it was invented.

It is when you celebrate the building of a Kwanzaa hut.  It is kind of like a barn raising but instead it celebrates the assembly of a the half circle, prefabricated building known as a Kwanzaa hut.  If you remember episode 119, the one before Gomer went to Vietnam, they disassembled their Kwanzaa huts in a ceremony call kaimba-doo.  They were then shipped to Da Nang.  How can anyone who has ever put one together forget Kwanzaa.

I'll tell you what it is... It is a fabricated holiday that is celebrated and taught in our schools with emphasis on the black aspect... This while Christmas is diluted to a mere Santa Clause - NO JESUS - time of the year to go shopping.

I think the only reason Kwanzaa is not an actual National Holiday is because most of the people who celebrate it are off anyway!

It is too funny to me how so many black Americans spew all of the Africa shit when; 1. They do not know jack about where they came from and under what circumstances. 2. They have no F'ing clue how F'd their homeland is right now. And 3. They damn sure do not want to leave the land of free food, medical care, housing, crazy checks, unemployment checks, welfare checks, food stamps, WIC (WTF?), education and a shit load of victims, ripe for the picking to return to the starvation/AIDS/war capital of the word (also known as the cradle of civilization, BTW!!!! HA!!!)

Anyway, sorry and happy fucking Kwanzaa.

Kwanza is a Swahili word.

Swahili is a language invented by Arab slave traders. The Arabs bought or traded for slaves from many different tribes on the east coast of Africa. There was a need to be able to communicate with all of the tribes that they traded with so Swahili was invented. It is a very simple language for basic communication.

So american blacks celebrate a holiday with a name invented by Arab slave traders.

Point is their basic principles are entirely based on Marxism. Every one of them.

There is nothing "African" about December 26. That date was chosen to be a wet blanket on Christmas.

There is nothing "African" about ANY of the "guiding principles" of Kwanzaa. They are pure Marxism.

The entire Kwanzaa "celebration" is a farce, a lie and a propaganda tool used by Marxist Black Separatists to diminish a MAJOR American/Christian/Western holiday and to drive yet another wedge between whites and blacks in America. Deceptions, divide & conquer and class-warfare all rolled into one.

i've noticed no wedge-driving. most of the people that celebrate kwanzaa don't know anything about marx/ism.

Hey ,,,,I guess the best thing about Kwanzaa is that you can use all the discounted Jewish and Christian stuff for Kwanzaa gifts since it starts on the day after Christmas.  You got leftovers from decent holidays to eat and it ends with Bowl games in New Years day,, maybe they got something here?????

Frank: It was destroyed. But out of that, a new holiday was born -- a Festivus for the rest of us!

In Nov 98 as I was getting ready to leave the Army, I began to grow out my hair in preparation of re-entry into the civilian world. My black platoon sgt says to me "Sgt revrat, yo hair gettin to be out of regs. What up wit dat?" I told her, "I be tryin to grow out my fro fo da upcomin Kwanzaa season."

She was not nearly as amused with my equal mastery of ebonics as the rest of the folks standing around. Short timers attitude at it's very best!

Wet blanket, hell we all know the day after Christmas is the biggest sale day of the year. What better day to do your last minute kwanza shopping but on the day everything is half off!! Unless you were just going to steal it anyway, in that case everyday is a sale day!![;)]
