I'm planning on going Friday. I'll be bringing a very accurate and nice Ruger M77VT .308 heavy barrel(just like the LE model except for this one only has on sling swivel on the fore end) and a mini-30 and about 1200 rounds of ammo for the Mini-30. I'm wanting to sell them both, or trade them for a M14/M1a type type or a Garand. You interested in either one? Both have scope(4-20x44 on the VT, and 3-9x40 on the Mini 30), sling, and the 30 includes the 1200 or so rounds, extra mag, and a hard case. Mini-30 has about 120 rounds through it, and the VT has exactly 240 rounds through it. I don't use either of them much anymore, and would much rather have a Garand or M1A than either of the other two. The Mini was going to be a plinker, but I never got much into it, and the VT is one serious long range coyote killing machine.

I'll be there. I'm looking for a S&W 586 or 686. I also wouldn't mind picking up a lever action rifle.

Big Reno Show? Whew! I got worried for a minute. I thought the last big Reno show was down in Waco...or was it the Cuban brat? |

Not really interested in any trades.

Maybe Friday after work but for sure Saturday morning.four Imbel recievers on hold and some ammo from the Miwal folks.I will be the glazed over goggle eyed Lunatic. if cold I will be in a Brown Bud Cap and field coat.If'n it's warm I will be in Vw t-shirt and Bud Cap Levi's.Case we all don't meet up Have Fun Folk's!

BTW, after I'm heading down to the Carson City range ( it's on my way home ) to sight in my Ferret 50 if anyone want s to meet up there. |

But the Reno show is only 3 times a year and for the last 2 I had to work on friday and saturday and when I got there sunday all the good stuff was gone. So I need to go this time. P.S. Any of you guys want to try to get up here to go to the Quarry one last time ( weather permitting ) Thanksgiving weekend? Pretty soon it will not be possible to get to it until spring due to snow. The days of the savings at shows is over.
Everything there seems overpriced. I have bought GI M14 barrels on ebay for $100-200. The three that I saw there were $300. Cheapest M14 GI mags were $40. I just bought two here for $65 delivered. I did buy a castle nut set screw wrench for a buck though. My only major purchase of the day. Met another AR15.commer and spent time with Akira there. Was sure good to see those guys. Not to mention, having supper with my kids the night before. |
