Have a 750 bottle, and was thinking of cracking it open tonight.  Anybody have any experience with it?  I'm assuming it's not one you would mix, but then again, I'm not much of a whiskey guy.  I'm leaving it up to the hive mind to decide if/how I drink it.  Get me drunk tonight GD!

If you mix with Midleton's you are an uncouth heathen.

Any good Whisky does not have an "e" in it

Midleton's is a very premium Irish whiskey.

I love the stuff but it's too rich for my blood.  Anyone know of something similar for less?

Drink it neat.
It's one of my favorites. I've had vintages from 2009-present and 2010 seemed to be the best in my opinion.

Redbreast 12 year.

Same distillery, similar product, fraction of the cost(still not cheap, but not horrible). 12 year is better than 15 year too*.

*Just my take on it, try both make you own opinion! =-)

Thank you.  Just the thing to know, with winter on the way.

I see.  Personally I don't really give a shit, if it's got booze in it, it's for me!

This one is a 2010 as well.  What are the differences?

Honestly I couldn't put it to words, and if pressed couldn't swear that it wasn't aptmosphere that made all the difference.
Either way you can't go wrong, but when you have 3 vintages lined up and you try them all, one will have more carmel, one may be a bit "smoother" for lack of a more snobby term. I'd love to do that experiment again honestly and see if my opinion changes. 2010 was the first vintage I had tried, and of course nothing could compare. when I got to do 2009-2011 together I expected 2009 to be richer, or something, and it just wasn't. Still amazing though.

Ok.  Not much of a liquor guy myself, except for dark rum, as I mostly drink beer.  But no beer tonight unfortunately except for a couple of god-knows-how-old cans of Miller High Life I found at the bottom of my garage fridge

Burned ingredients, dirty water, don't distill it it enough, no wonder the makers of scotch are to lazy and cheap to spell Whiskey correctly. Probably did it to save money on ink.

I'm not much for Irish whiskey, but Middleton's is tits. I drink it on the rocks, three fingers, two cubes, and a splash of water.
