Well, I bought a 92FS for $377 + $25 S&H.

I picked it up today, and went shooting...

What I discovered:

A) I can shoot it more accurately than my
  Argentine 1911

B) Beretta mag prices border on extortion...
   $5 for a 7rd 1911 mag
$10 for an Orlite 30rd AR mag
   !!$41!! for a 10rd factory Beretta mag!
   !!$45!! for a 15rd Asian-import Beretta mag!

I didn't like the AWB before, but...

C) I seem to have bad luck with buying used
guns from poor gun-cleaners... I should have
checked this before I took it shooting, but
the previous owner apparently liked his gun
bone dry, so it short-cycled on me quite
  regularly (shoot-rack-shoot-rack...). I'll
see how well it works when properly cleaned
and oiled (my 1911 did the same thing,
  cleaning/oiling fixed it...)

I usually get factory hi-caps for $35...

Edited to add:  My $24 no-name 30rnd Beretta mag from CDNN works flawlessly.

I've seen them on Gunbroker for $35...

I wonder, what makes new pistol mags (especially for a military issue pistol... usually (1911, AR) that generates a decent surplus market...) so &#$%! expensive?
