Yes, but in Kansas we have to have a bill board sized showing of blaze orange, so i just wear jeans.

Started Sept 1 here in a few northern WMUs. Saw one doe, one grouse, and five berry-shovelling black bears.

Not really, It's just not a challenge anymore, about as difficult as shooting a squirrel off the bird feeder.

Now, I may get to hunt Nilgai in December, THAT I'm excited about.

I don't have the time to invest in bowhunting they way I'd like, so that hobby is off the table, at least for a few more years.

I'll get excited about rifle/muzzleloader hunting in the weeks to come as the weather cools. Right now it's still summertime.

Yes, I'm excited but I wouldn't mind throwing a line out and catching some of those fish in that poster either. Our deer are on the small side so it's more of a walk in the woods to get out for me.

Season start's here Sept 28 for bow here in Arkansas.
I've taken the opening week of gun season off the the past 20 years.
My favorite holiday.

About 73 here today and supposed to be the same for the next week. Yay. Not much moving most the day in that heat.

People are not wearing blaze orange all over town as regular dress, and I have not heard "Turdy Point Buck" on the radio yet...so it's not quite close enough to get excited.

I did however visit the bucks kept in an enclosure at a local courthouse, and they had bloody antlers so the velvet was just shed.

Bow starts on Oc1 but you could not pay me enough to go out because you cannot coat me with enough DEET to get me to venture out into the tick infested woods prior to the first couple of frosts.

I am more excited for elk, but rifle deer opens the same time. I picked up an extra whitetail doe tag so I plan on getting two deer. Bear and wolf opens Sunday, so I may go out looking for them and do some scouting while I"m at it.
