Enfield?

What did you do, buy a bunch of bubba'ed surplus stuff as donors?

In all seriousness, part of me is a bit jealous. The other part knows I have nowhere to stretch out such a rifle so it's a moot point.

Best 338 bullets are Bergers.

Depending on twist, if you go fast (9.5 or faster), then go with 300s.  If you are going 10 inch twist, go with 250 Bergers.  You can thank me later.

you'd have to open up the bolt face.

Okay so I have to go to .585"? It would probably be best to replace the barrel at the same time as it is extremely thin and would heat up fast.

ya run out of room really quick on them. but ya the pressure is ok.. assuming a m98 large ring. with full size tendon diameter.

yeah, I had heard that elsewhere, guess ill just stick with the standard sized magnums on those.

However Montana Rifle Co. is making a controlled feed action for the larger magnums.

No dad is going to have a rifle that's chambered in $5 bills. when he sees the price of bullets he will spring for a 338 bullet die set.

and in 21 years of business ive never built the old man a rifle. Hes wanting a long range elk gun, so im going to hook him up.
