Serious question, are you a smoker?
I ask because I damn near gave myself emphasima. Had asthma-like attacks after showers and in humidity. I've pretty much quit smoking. I figure damage to the heart and the decreased lung capacity was to blame. My better half had an inhaler from when she had bronchitis, that opened them up enough to quit gagging. I knew it was time to quit then. |

I always find that smoking a cigarette really opens up my airways...

Asthmatic?
Smoker? (current or former) Meds? Medical history (cardio-pulmonary)? Availability of treatment? (bronchodilators - Ventolin or Proventil (Albuterol) or O2 Proximity to medical treatment? Don't mess around with that breathing thing... |

When was the onset?
How sudden? Anything else going on? (nausea, chest pain) Anyone else there? (if not, take the bus ride - nothing to mess around with alone) |

I had that last fall. I drove to the ER when I started seeing stars.
Turns out I had pneumonia in both lungs, and ended up in the Hospital for a week, and would have probably died if I waited another day to go. Go get yourself checked out, with X-Ray and a blood draw. |

Symptoms?
Pain on inspiration/experation? Dizzy? Are your finger nails blue? Do you hear anything like rice crispies when you push on your ribs? How many pillows do you sleep with? Eta cough? If so is it productive? |

OP, I know your posts after 10 years, this is not like you.
How about you call the amberlamps, and then come back to posting while you are waiting for them to show up? House? Leave the light on so they can see your address. Apartment? Leave the front door unlocked and if a secure building, get your neighbor to let them in. |

Check your legs. Any swelling? I had breathing trouble a couple of years ago....went to the Dr., and they check me for walking pneumonia.
I had massive blood clots in my lungs. Both sides. Traveled from my calf. 7 days in the ICU. If you are really having issues i would suggest the ER. BTW, it had a 1in4 chance in killing me. Dead. At 48. No thanks. |
