Well if you're not doing anything wrong then you don't have anything to worry about.

What if the plate takes a rock from the vehicle in front of you. It says during the pilot program the plate shall not transmit or retain location. Ya I believe that.

I could see automatic Tickets based off of location and speed...Hmmm.

When is this going to stop?
I'm fucking tired of the relentless march to total surveillance and a total police state. They never run out of ideas and they're always coming up with new ways to exploit technologies. I want to go back to the 1970s, even if women were a bit hairier back then. |

Electronic license plates? Smells like a lot of fun for your Sunday afternoon wardriver.

Hackers will go CRAZY with that. And bling-wearing gangstas with money will have an illegal plate-changer-job done to their blacked out 300 donk so they can drive placidly from every driveby.

The company ties to shit like this should be outlawed. They have a company cooking up "smart license plates" then supporting legislation to eventually have them on everyone's car! 100% horse shit! Then, they say they can change what's on the plate, such as ads when the car stops Who gets the money for the ads? Can I charge them for the electricity to run this monitoring device if it has to be wired into my vehicles electrical system?
I swear it should be illegal to even propose crap like this |

be kinda fun to spoof plates - build little transmitters, say about 50 of them, all with the same plate # response, plant them on a bunch of cars - would more than likely drive the cops nuts trying sort that one out...

I'm sure the board will be hardware encoded to the license plate number. Next, someone could always hack the display with their own custom electronics. I'm sure people could also have fun transmitting the "stolen plate" signal I could have so much fun with this.
