Your vote for the dumbest major sport. And for clarification I use the word sport as defined by an activity performed by "athletes" that have a sizable fan following.
poll coming |
It's neither here nor there, but it blows my mind that rally, F1 and Baja are not wildly popular in this country... but we have NASCAR.
When you say "professional wresting", are you talking about studio wrestling, like Hulk Hogan type stuff?

Pro wrestling should not be on the list. It's entertainment not a sport. MMA or Boxing they are sports.

Was going to say "golf", but then I saw "Proffesional Wrestling" on there... that's about as athletic as playing an athlete on TV.
Can't understand how anybody likes basketball......waaaaaaaaay too much scoring with no defense.
Calling Golf a sport is like calling Checkers a sport. If you can be fat and unfit, it isn't a sport.

I don't get NASCAR, don't like it either. Watching it is boring. BUT, I have done the NASCAR experience at the Kansas City Speedway and you know, it is pretty physical. I was sweaty and tired after muscling that car around the track so I have to at least give credit where it is due to the drivers.

gotta be soccer. Gotta say though you have to be in good shape to play soccer. You dont have to be in good shape to be a baseball player, nascar driver, golfer, proffesional wrestler and half the positions in football. I voted for proffesional wrestling btw. |

Poll fail. None of those choices are "sports". They are games.

Everything in the poll without a motor that makes noise
should be banned from the earth. |

I have no idea why soccer is not more popular here. It's the only one on the list I enjoy. Fast paced, interesting, and involves quite a bit of skill, and has variety in he play. I think Football is ridiculous.

I've always struggled with spelling "professional". No fair! Picking on the dyslexic kid stuck on a government computer with no spell check built into the browser. |
I don't care for any of them.
BTW professional wrestling is not a sport. I like combat sports like kickboxing, wrestling, mma. |

I doubt a lot of those guys look that way just by picking up heavy shit and putting it down. |

Quoted: Beach volley ball. Don't make this into your coming out thread. |

Professional Wrestling isn't a sport. It is dumb as hell, but it isn't a sport.
NASCAR on the other hand is widely seen as a sport AND is dumb as hell. |
I chose professional wrestling, but it really isn't a sport. It's something closer to stage fighting. Scripted, choreographed stage fighting.
Pro-Wrestling is not a sport it is a soap opera set in a ring.

I think Football is ridiculous. Because we are Americans and we like sports where people "hit" things whether it is a person "hitting" another person. Or we like when the car "hits" another car or the wall. Hence why football and NASCAR are the most popular sports in America now. In a few years I would suspect that MMA if they keep marketing themselves correctly will gain more momentum and maybe even become more popular than baseball. |

I don't know how anything else gets so much as a single vote when "professional wrestling" is an answer choice.
Hands down the stupidest. |

I don't mean the size of them, I was thinking more along the lines of flips and shit they do off the ropes and the actual wrestling/acting moves. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're super talented athletes etc, just that I would view them as athletic/athletes. |

personal opinion, but I can't stand baseball. I would have a better chance staying awake at an insurance seminar.
