They do it here, too. But never seem to get to speed and disrup traffic flow. Especially the drivers in such a big hurry or those getting over for no reason but to just get over. It's almost like they do it on purpose.

One of my favorites is when someone wants to make a left turn on a secondary road.
Speed limit on road 45-55, turn lane leading up to intersection is about 1/4 mile long, no cars waiting at light. Driver wanting to turn slows down to 10mph before entering the turn lane, sans signal. Or, many roads here have a center turn lane to get into driveways, shopping centers and the like. Yet at least once a week I get to slam on my braked to avoid nailing an idiot who stops in the traffic lanes to make a left. |

If I am not already on it when I signal, they will speed up preventing me from changing lanes (if their car is fast enough). Passive aggressive driving is not only annoying, it is very dangerous. |

I noticed doing it myself when I started using cruise control. I'll be chugging along all nice till a hill comes up, car starts to slow enough to piss off the guy behind me, he pops out and tries to go around, next thing I know the cruise control drops a gear and speeds up enough to seem like I'm racing. If the overdrive is off, I'll drop 5 mph (65 - 60)slowly then pick up 10 with a quickness (60 - 70) Forgive me, it's the car. |

People don't like to use the round thingy right in front of them when driving, it distracts them from their cellphone use. They only like the faster pedal and the stopping pedal because you don't need your feet to text. It's why they'll tailgate a slower vehicle for miles instead of passing it.

well, if you live in an snowy environment, a lot of the time the middle of the road is slicker than the drive lanes. If you are changing lanes, it is wise to let off the gas especially if you drive a rwd vehicle, else your front might try to follow your back.
Oh, and this MANDATORY ETA: If you drive in the left lane and never get out of it until you exit the freeway, all the while there are people behind you.......................may you die a painful natural death. The left lane is for PASSING ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear every day I have to rage on some motherfucker who can't get that through their head.....and when someone tries to truck-fuck me, I make a point to make it around them and find a car going 65 mph in a 75, and go that speed right beside them until they move the fuck over. I'll do whatever I can to make their lives behind me as miserable as they did to me. Another good trick is to vary your speed by about 5 mph (i.e. never travel a constant speed). It's absolutely miserable being behind someone doing that shit. I'm done with them. I'm done being nice. I'm done being patient. If you are in the left lane and you aren't passing and I'm behind you....get ready to hear about it. I've even laid on my horn for a good 5 mins before someone got the god damn hint. I've had some fucktard try to follow me home because they got pissed at me flashing my lights at them to get over........I don't give a fuck anymore. SOMEONE needs to educate these assholes.
