..as a trilogy.
Is it a good idea to remake this classic? I'll watch it. http://screenrant.com/escape-from-new-york-reboot-trilogy/ So, who could play Snake Plissken? Kurt Russell's too old. How about Norman Reedus? |
I heard about it, it's supposed to be a documentary of the mass flight of gun owners.
But think on this one: If the Pres in the movie remake was Zero, would anyone except maybe the USSS volunteer to go extract him? I vote no.
They need Hugh Jackman to play Snake.
I'd see it if they don't go full liberal retard on the movie. |
They already did a remake of "Escape From New York."
It was titled "Escape From L.A." |
How about Dk-Prof in "Escape from Amsterdam" The clip clop of wooden shoes echoing down abandoned streets, the frighten shrieks of geese in the night....
I made it to 1:50 then I saw something shiny... |
more importantly, who's going to get Adrienne Barbiue's role?

I'd see it if they don't go full liberal retard on the movie. Don't worry, they will. This one will have President-for-Life Obama rescuing himself after his plane is sabotaged by white supremacists and he crashes on the FEMA island in the Gulf of Mexico used for housing former gun-owners. |
Is Hollywood out of ideas or are they trying to maximize profts by eliminating script writers from the mix?
How about some new ideas? Stop the rehash and remessaging of movies from my youth. |
Why do they have to keep remaking shit.
It's getting annoying. |

Hollywood has an occasional new idea. They are few and far in between.

I honor of the current state of New York, I think it should not have any weapons in it and should be based on Mayor Bloomberg coming and saving the people from themselves. The main villian should be an animated, 6 foot tall Mountain Dew.

LOL... I though the OP was moving out of New York in response to the ban, and REBOOTING in a free state.
Guess that's on my mind, as Colorado goes down the shithole. |

Think they'll rip the handguards off ARs to make them look futuristic again?

Think they'll rip the handguards off ARs to make them look futuristic again? I just caught that last weekend when I watched the movie again. Stoopid. |
Geeze, and here I thought they were making a movie about my life..... VERMONT! I WILL BE IN YOU!!!!
I think Norm Reedus may be a good idea for Snake, I may also be OK with the dude that played hawkeye from the avengers(I know hes lib).... |

After viewing the disaster that was the Red Dawn remake, my advice would be to leave well enough alone with this movie.

I made it to 1:50 then I saw something shiny... The whole movie is like that. Just two guys chatting. Put me asleep the first time I forced myself through it. Now it's one of my favorite films. (Yes, I said film.) |

Another remake
These guys forget that one of the things that often make a movie great is the time and context in which is was originally released. You can make the exact same movie, but you can't remake the spirit of the times in which the original was released. What resonated back in 1981 won't necessarily resonate today. This is why they should leave the classics alone and focus on new ideas and stories. |

Guaranteed to suck due to absence of Twin Towers and Chock-Full-O-Nuts coffee bar scene.
OK...that was, interesting. |
What really sucks is how many good books that could be adapted into movies that they aren't even touching.
When will we see the epic 9 part Dark Tower movie series. |

That would only work, if DK is rescueing the Penguin Princess Aimless. I could easily see Ed Sr playing the role of the cab driver though. |
