I'm going to make some chili tonight or tomorrow. What kind of healthy bread/chips/carbs should I serve with it?

Cornbread is healthy, it has corn in it...
Honestly, Some wheat bread goes pretty well with it, all things considered. |
|
You could get some whole-wheat flour tortillas (or some of those multi-grain wraps that hipsters use to ruin the good name of sandwiches) and make chili burritos/rolls.

I believe cornbread is what you're looking for First post thing |

Hell with that...
Big honking hunk of homemade sourdough FTMFW (with butter of course). |
|
What isn't healthy about bread? Man made it this far with little more than bread numerous times.

Good chili doesn't need bread on the side. So you just go at it with a bowl and a spoon? |

Good chili doesn't need bread on the side. Still good though. So is chili and rice. |

Cornbreads pretty good. I don't have a good whole wheat bread recipe but here's my cornbread recipe.
Mix: ½ cup white flour 1 ¾ cup corn meal ¼ cup sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 2 ½ teaspoon baking powder 6 Tablespoon butter 1 cup buttermilk 2 eggs Heat oven to 400 degrees. Melt 2 T butter in an iron skillet. Pour batter over butter and bake for 22 – 27 min. You can make this with oil – it is healthier but not as good. You can decrease the oil/butter to 4 T but again, it is not as good. |

Homemade tortillas are the best, but not too healthy (basically lard and flour).
|
|
Cornbread, shredded sharp cheddar, and sliced apples on the side.
|
|
Blue corn and flax seed tortilla chips.
or Xochitl Organic tortilla chips I prefer the flax seed my wife likes the xochitl |

|
Real Chili or that beanless kind?
The beanless kind get served between a hamburger bun. The real kind (w/ beans) gets served with jalapeno corn bread. |

Bread is not healthy. No matter what its made of. GM wheat is poison, and GM corn is worse. Good luck finding either that is not GM.
|
|
There is no such thing as healthy bread.
There is wheat bread or corn bread, neither is healthy. |
|
Whatever you do don't put beans in the bread! It'll be fo time in this place!

Quoted: I like chili with Indian Naan bread. This right here is pretty damn good Of course there's also cornbread, having chili without it just seems wrong |

Sweet potatoes.
Those dehydrated veggie chips. You could try to bake bread with coconut flour. I recently had squash on the side with my chili, it was pretty good. |

Although this is probably a lost cause, the correct word is "healthful", not "healthy". Eating a healthful bread would make one healthy.

Chilli needs nothing but cheese or onions or both. I like to chop up some habaneros and toss in on top. |

Little bit of chopped raw onion, some jalapenos and shredded cheddar. Crackers on the side if you want filler. I like Ritz crackers.
