We don't blame ALL democrats. Though considering 90 percent (or atleast it damn well seems like it) of them are gun-grabbers, it's kind of hard to not to extend our frustration to all dems. It's not our problem though, if you don't like it, tell your party to fuckin change.

If you're going to live in a free country at some point you have to accept the fact that not all problems are solvable, especially by the government. If you do not accept that premise you will go down a path towards safety and security and end up in tyranny. So the question is, how much control do you want to give the government (especially the federal government) over who can and can't own guns, and what will it cost you. Prohibiting convicted violent felons from owning a gun? I have no problem with. Prohibiting someone diagnosed with having a mental disorder that has been committed to an institution after a fair hear? Probably don't have an issue with that either. Prohibiting a person from owning a gun because a single doctor or social worker says someone has mental issues? I think that is too far. Also, keep in mind that none of these proposals would have prevented the Sandy Hook shooting. Adam Lanza seems to have been absolutely batshit crazy, but he didn't own the guns, his mother did and as far as we know she was a completely legal gun owners under today's laws and under your proposed changes as well. |

You must admit that it's your Derpocratic party that's running this nation into the ground. Obama is a terrible president, and now he's initiated a witch hunt for our firearms. It's people like you who elected him into office, and I hope you feel terrible. All the gun-grabbers are Democrats. Instead of focusing on reducing spending, paying our debts, and lowering the deficit, the Demoncrats have changed the nation's perspective from the economy to guns because they don't have a plan. They can't make the tough choices necessary to save this country. Instead, it's people like you who elected these impotents into office. Big government is not the answer. It always leads to Big Brother. |

Its kinda one of those things where not all democrats are gungrabbers but just about all gun grabbers are democrats. Make sense? Obama was all about an AWB from the start, if you didn't research this before you voted you were an uninformed voter and I feel no pity for you when you lose your rights.
Oh and the kind of background check / mental health legislation the left is currently trying to pass...that last paragraph you wrote would basically get you labeled "unstable" and your guns would be taken from you by police. |
