Would you cull your arsenal a bit for a tax credit like proposed by a Dem congresscritter?
I might turn in a WASR for $2K, but most of the rest of my rifles would stay in the safe. I have an M-1 Carbine that isn't worth $2000 but I couldn't stand to see history meet Captain Crunch. |
FUCK NO
Who is paying for that $2000 credit? Our fucking tax dollars. Jesus fucking shit man |
I would turn in hundreds of $170 10/22's. Ruger makes ~1k a day. no one would miss them.
I have enough that I would certainly let a few go at $2k a pop.

No. As the "Cash for Clunkers" boondoggle demonstrated, stunts like this simply set a floor for firearms value. So all "assault weapons" would then have a minimum value of $2000, which will probably double or triple the value of many people's guns.
Of course it also means that the minimum selling price from dealers would be increased by $2k as well. Which is EXACTLY what is intended here. |

Would I sell a rifle for two grand when I knew I could buy a replacement that same day for less money?
Hell yes, I would. Capitalism, bitches, how do it work? Would I take a two grand bribe to throw my Constitutional rights under the bus, knowing that the rifle would be destroyed and I wouldn't ever be able to replace it? Fuuuuuuuuuuuck, no. |
I would buy 10 ruger 10/22's, chop off the front sight, run a threading die over the barrel and lag screw an A2 grip to the stock. That would fit the definition wouldn't it?
I have quite a few lowers I paid $30 for. I mean turning $30 into $2k is a nice return. On the other hand they must realllly want them to offer 2k. So much it makes me not wanna give it to them.
Also deduction vs credit is a big difference. |

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ, not just no, but Holy Fuck, no.
The Fuck is capitalized, cuz it's His Fuck. |
It's a trick to use OUR money in order to take weapons off the street and to also drive up the cost of those left. It would basically raise the price of the cheapest firearm to around 2k, at a minimum.....
What the fuck is this shit with you people lately? First tax credits for a gun safe, now credits for an EBR? Christ see if you can find your testicles down there somewhere, man up and tell these socialists to fuck off.

I think I would get in the lower turning in business if they were offering a $2000 credit for them. I could even pay current gunbroker prices.

Only if that $2K came out of the FSA coffers.
No matter what, no damn government official is paying for this, we all are. And by we, I mean the 47% or whatever percent it is now a days that actually pays taxes to fund the lard ass EBT scum. |
It is a disgrace to surrender one's arms. What about your dignity? Can you honor be bought and if so, what is your price? The only answer to this is "NEVER" |
Only be good for disposing of worn out cheap guns. Buy a bunch of 10/22 strip all the parts and sell them the bare receivers.
Or sell them something broken and useless. |
hmm...I wonder if all of the flats I messed up while learning to build AK's would qualify as the same level as a stripped lower. They're waay past 80 percent....

You do realize that once you collect your $2,000 the government will then tax you an additional $2,000 in the following years and then you will have no gun when they send Hilary Clinton and Feinstein to tag team your A---

I would turn in HiPoint with a shoulder thing that goes up rubber banded to the stock. This means I am now unarmed and susceptible to my home being stormed. Come at me, bro. |
