For the entire week running up to Thanksgiving, the only time I heard the words "Happy Thanksgiving" said in public was when I said it first to a cashier here or there and someone seemingly felt obliged to respond in kind. I do not remember a season such as this when no-one seems to be genuinely thankful for anything. It's almost like folks in my area have lost a feel for the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving came the earliest that it possibly can this year. This took most people by surprise.

Cashiers at the stores I shopped at all wished me a happy turkey day. Country life is beddah than sh*tty life.

We supposedly give thanks for what we have on Thanksgiving but Friday run out knock old women to the ground for more stuff.

Been real friendly around here...lots of "Happy Thanksgivings" etc. But I did notice all the advertisers on TV and radio saying "...this Black Friday Weekend...."

I'm laid off, did some food shopping earlier in the week. I was cheerful , and so were the cashiers. But I live in a rural area.
I'm only pissed that it was 60 degrees and windy yesterday, and now 30 and yerrrrrry windy, today. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you , Powerkicker. |

IDK...I said "have a good Thanksgiving" to plenty of customers and people and plenty of people said the said to me unprovoked.
My gf thanked the employees for working at K-Mart and Gander Mountain yesterday when we were checking out too  Speed |

We were all very thankful we weren't sick, dying or pratically homeless like it seems everybody around us is. Happy didn't come up.

Nope, can't say I experienced it. Heard "Happy Thanksgiving" quite a bit.
I half expect to come here some day and read about a "War on Thanksgiving" and people ranting about calling it "Turkey Day" in a deliberate attempt to downplay its meaning and traditions. When I need to find butthurt, GD rarely lets me down. |
