Need a little help.
Basically my g/f works with someone who is married to a recruiter. One is talking to the other, and my old recruiter decides to tell the couple Im crazy and failed the psych ev and was not allowed into the Guard.
Obviously this is untrue...as I never even went to MEPS. I scored very high on the Asvab and was in shape...just prior med stuff like back probs.

Do I have any recourse or am I wasting time? Seems very slanderous...especially since a person at my g/fs job is a relative of one of my superiors.

Thanks

Have you been hurt in some way by these words?  This needs to be the case if you are going to do something about it.  I would go talk to him to find out if he said it.

Pick up your manhood and be at ease.  You know the truth and if anyone brings it up you can set the record straight.  Dont let a fast talker (recruiter) take you down to their level, eventually he will get what he has coming to him.

Move on and ignore.

He has a commander as well. If talking to this douche doesn't work go to hi command.

You used recruiter and ethics in the same sentence?

At this point no it has done nothing other than piss me off.

I am worried about the potential of it at work.

Just wondered if, if the need arises, I have any recourse against him.

IF it it hurts you at work, and IF you can prove it, and IF it's untrue, you have recourse.

Until then, you're just pissed off. [shrug]

If a direct witness to the comment will complete a notarized written statement of what was said you might have ammo to go to his command and complain.

Otherwise, it's hearsay.

Some girl told another girl that somebody else said something about you?      Forget about it.

Didn't you see that thread last week about the "army girl friend"?

Recruiter =/= ethics

OTOH, "Recruiter of the Year" goes to this guy:

I'm sure that he will "explain" it as a "joke" if anyone ever questions it.

Stupid people say stupid shit all the time, and when challenged usually pass it off this way.

It's easier than admitting that you are stupid.

Let it pass.
