Every time I buy it and the vendor's stocking the shelf, he gets angry at me and tells me it's pronounced "BEEMBO". If I have a legitimate excuse to say "hold on, i need to pick up a bimbo!", I'm going to use it damn it!

The article says a "Mexican billionaire", so naturally the first person I thought of was the most interesting man in the world.

Keep it up gentlemen.
Pretty soon you'll be able to Google "twink creampie" and this thread will show up.
Google it now and see what pops up.  I suggest searching images.  I bet it's some delicious baked goods.

EDIT:  For fuck's sake, don't Google that at work.

Moving any operation to Mexico is better than moving it to Asia.  If Mexicans had jobs in Mexico they wouldn't be looking for jobs here and the illegal immigration problem would fix itself.

I immediately thought of Groupo Bimbo before I clicked on this story. They've recently acquired the majority of Sara Lee so this makes sense and no they will not keep the unions around.

They don't have to deal with the US prices on sugar either.  Might be a smart move.

Someone will buy it, the brand names are worth something.

They almost certainly will produce in their own non-union facilities though.

Yep, baking the breads and cakes Americans won't. The unions will put the final nail in what's left of manufacturing in this country unless we remove the from the formula. Sadly that's not going to happen until we go over the cliff.

And Entenmann's and several others.

Bimbo seems like a good and smart company. Threy do use union labor but they are far from generous with their contracts from what I can tell.

We don't have to and should not remove unions.  They serve a purpose sometimes, but we DO need to stop letting them use police force to compell people to do business with them.  That's the balancing force that would keep them from killing their customers (the businesses they sell labor to) and it's missing right now.  The problem is they have two sets of customers, and are focusing on the wrong one.  They're just a labor co-op. Sure they work for the members, but the real customers are the businesses that buy their labor, and when they forget that, customers need to be able to quit doing business with em.

If they can't quit doing business with em, there's no reason for the union NOT to bleed em dry.

100 years ago Unions were needed, now they're a scourge and should be outlawed but  at the very least have most of they power they wield taken away. Those 18K jobs are ALL on the AFO/CIO and while the 99% fucktards are bitching about the 1% they leave Trumpka and other fucksticks alone.
