I'm taking this Bubba'd M1917.  I've owned this rifle for seven years and never shot it until recently (My dad owned it for many years before me).  Man these are nice shooting rifles.  I need to find one that hasn't been cut up.

If I get to go (wife is 39 weeks pregnant), i'll be using the sbr from this post. http://www.ar15.com/mobile/topic.html?b=2&f=385&t=223559  The only thing I've changed since the pic was taken is that I'm using 2 qrp mounts to get them both at the same height instead of having a qrp mount on the 5x magnifier and a larue mount for the aimpoint pro. Sure hope I get to use that 300 blk this year.

Damn thing shoots better than I do. It comes in to it's own when you are hiking or pushing for a deer drive. If you want to shoot more than a couple of rounds in a row I would be leery of it tho since it will beat you up after a while and the light barrel gets hot quickly (cools down pretty quick tho).

Over all I like it and use it over my 30-06 and da tirty tirtys.

Depends...
Slug barreled 870 around the houses. 3" Old fashioned slugs
7400 carbine in 30-06 for walking. 165gr Hollowpoint GameKings
Model 70 Classic Stainless 30-06 for sitting. 180gr Accubonds

I've seen 9 but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Getting down to the wire...

Great rifle, I've got one in 308 that I got for Christmas when I was 11. That was 39 years ago.
That gun has killed a truck load of deer. I still get it out once in a while for old times sake.

I use a JC Higgins Model 50 in .270 sold by Sears in the early 50s.  I have a Burris 2-7x30 on it.  The Model 50 was originally produced by Belgium's Fabrique Nationale using a commercial 98 Mauser action and 22 inch chrome lined barrel from High Standard.  If you come across one, they are great guns.  They came in only .270 and .30-06.

I shot three antlerless with it this year so far.  I have taken about 30 deer with it in the last 8 years.  I bought it from an older Marine friend who would I deer hunt with as a teen.  He made me promise that if I ever sold it, I would sell it back to him at the price I bought it for.  I have had it for almost 30 years.  He had it as a Marine in Hawaii and has killed hogs, deer, and sheep with it.  It even has his SS# engraved on it.  I will be keeping it.  He has since passed on, did his last deer hunt with me several years ago.  I still think about him when I go out deer hunting.

More Info on the JC Higgins Model 50s

This is an 8 point I shot a couple of years ago with the rifle in it.

.300BLK.  Minus the light because we can't use them in MO.  Also use my AAC 762-SDN-6 can on it.  Shot a decent sized button buck with it last weekend.

I'm assuming that's purpose-designed to get around Indiana's rifle regs.

Details on the cartridge? I have a friend who hunts in IN and he's mentioned wanting a new rifle for up there.
