I have a SW radio in the office and listen to him on 12.160Mhz in the day, and 4.840Mhz in the evening. It beats the hell out of listening to Limbaugh whargggllllbarrgllll all day. I have a functioning bullshit detector, listen to and read various other news sources, and don't buy into 90% of his crap, but find his show interesting and sometimes very insightful. Occasionally he will say something, or have someone on that makes you sit right up in your seat and say "oh shit" though. Being able to listen to the Charlie Sheen meltdown live was pretty cool too. 
Beck is fucking terrible, and so fucking full of himself these days. You honestly would think that he doesn't think anyone else in the world can make the connections that he has. Then when he does, and he is wrong, he still tries to justify his bullshit. CALIPHATE CALIPHATE CALIPHATE. He is an a.m. drive in top 40 DJ who found Mormon Jesus, hung up the bottle, and went all pseudo-intellectual. |

Beck strikes me as a fairly normal guy that I could hang out with whereas jones seems like someone who is looking for some bogeyman or conspiracy behind every corner. Obviously, I prefer beck. For that matter, I like mark levin too.

He actively searches out the most far-fetched unprovable bullshit to make himself more famous. I am infuriated that he aligns himself with the conservative, libertarian side of the political spectrum. He only makes conservatism look stupid. He would do just as well as an ecoliar like AlGore. I do think that some of his guests are self-promoting clowns that give the right a bad name. I'm glad that someone stands up and says a lot of things that other right wing media figures are scared to touch. I'm embarrassed for a lot of what he says. But I'd rather have somebody say it, than be to worried about their image to say it. You also sound jealous. |

My ex girlfriend house-sat for Alex Jones when I lived in Austin. He fired her because she didnt feed the fish, and he busted her because he left fish food on the top of the food container and it wasn't disturbed when he got back from vacation. I really wanted to check out his house, but I knew better, that shit is probably booby-trapped out the ass.
I saw him out a few times when I would go drinking downtown, he never drank, just sat there with his friends and tried to keep a low profile. He was pretty normal, not trying to attention whore, even though a lot of people come up and shake his hand. My overall impression is that he is genuine, and he actually believes what he says... but he could just be a master con artist. |
