I am considering sending a bill (law) I drafted to my state reps (here in NC) that would prevent the state or any municipality in the state from enacting a prohibition of semi-auto rifles and OFFICIALY recognizes a number of specified uses of s-a rifles by civilians, police and military. Any thoughts?

I am afraid a group like the MMMommers or Ceasefire-North Carolina will panic and try to ram some AW Ban through the Democrat controlled General Assembly and Senate before the Federal Ban sunsets.
