Wish this woman's family had the ability to take the MCSAO to court in a civil action.

Force her to stay where a known violent offender can find her, but give her a piece of paper that says it's a crine for the aforementioned offender to approach her.  Are these people just blind or stupid? And if it's intentional, they're bigger criminals than the guy that killed her.

Court Records: Murder Victim Feared For Her Life

Gaithersburg, Md. -- Police in Montgomery County, Md., are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a woman to death at her home Saturday in Gaithersburg.

Montgomery County police have identified the suspect, who is now wanted for first-degree murder, as 32-year-old Michael Jerome Bryant, the estranged husband of the victim, 32-year-old Donna Martin Bryant.

Neighbors told a News4 reporter what happened, but they did not want to be identified because the murder suspect is still at large. "He was stabbing her repeatedly while she was holding her baby. That's crazy," the neighbor said.

Investigators said the suspect broke in through a back window of the home and made his escape before police arrived by running down a nearby footpath.

Police spokeswoman Joyce Utter told News4, "We do not know the whereabouts of Mr. Bryant, and we're asking anyone who knows where he is to give us a call. They can remain totally anonymous through our crime solvers tip line or they can call our major crimes division."

Through court records News4 learned that Donna Bryant was on probation for being an accessory to an armed robbery and theft. Court documents indicated that in January, she asked the court to terminate her probation and grant her special permission to leave the jurisdiction and go into hiding because of threats made to her by her husband.

Court papers indicate that the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office opposed the request to terminate her probation and the judge denied her motion to leave the area. She did, however, have a court order of protection.

If he's caught and convicted, Michael Bryant could face the possibility of life in prison or even the death penalty.
