Be a bit more specific, Florida is a big place, there are a number of shooting sports going on at any given time. Are you going to
Dismal World and the Tragic Kingdom? If so check out the ranges in the Orlando area. Post a few specifics dates, area etc. & I'll check the calendar. Check out the Florida's Shooters Network for some Florida happenings. Thanks for answering. I'll be at Dismal World and the Tragic Kingdom ( [:D] ) , with my wife & my kid , from Aug.05th to Aug.08th , then , by car , going down to Ft.Myers area to stay about 10 days , then to Miami from Aug.19th to Aug.22nd , then fly back home. PP out |

Their are a few nice places to shoot in south Florida. The BEST IMHO is an informal private range we call "Pop's" (unfortunately Pop just past away, but his wife is friendly to the shooting sports). There's a free gun range in the Ocala National forest, as well as in the Osceola National Forest near Lake City, where I used to live.
If you want a good day trip, away from the commercialism, take your family about an hour north. Go to the Ichetucknee Springs State Park, rent innertubes for everybody. The area is saturated with places to rent. About $4 apeice, for a rental. And when you get out of the river, you just throw the tube in tha appropriate bin... Don't have to take em back. Just a slow, lazy float through the woods in crystal clear spring water. I really miss that trip on a hot summer day. While in Ft Myers area you MUST check out Sanibel and Captiva Islands, I go there every year on vacation, Paradise on Earth!!

There are a few gun stores near Disney in Kissimmee and StCloud. There is Gun Land in Kissimmee on 441 a few miles north of 192. Also there is The Gun Store on 192 on the east side of StCloud. A mile or so east of The Gun Store is Spider Firearms (407-957-3617)on Murcott Dr (just off of 192)in the building behind Discount Auto. This is where the Ferret50's are made. About 15 minutes from us is Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club. Im a member, so if you are looking to shoot I would be glad to take you out.
