Quoted: What makes it worth the wait? Seriously, nothing about it appears special just by looking at the pic. |

Quoted: What makes it worth the wait? No shit. Should have got one from DamascusKnifeMaker here. He makes some BAD ASS blades. |

If you are a collector, the name has an intrinsic value in itself. The name doesn't necessarily mean a better blade, but its just the same as anything else.........two products can be equal in quality, but a "perceived" history of quality can bring a premium vs. a newer maker. |
|
No way would I wait that long for a knife.
I'm glad you are happy though.. |
|
Maybe they should hire another knifemaker. That one guy isn't keeping up with orders very well.

I remember getting a pamphlet at a gunshow back in the 90s. Those knives were really neat looking. I wanted one, but I decided against it due to price. In the late 90s, I wanted one, and the wait was up to 2 years at that point. I figured the knife I found in the back of my med unit would suffice. I still carry that knife today. Oh well.

Nice knife! I've had a Dozier on order for 20 months now. Still a few months out from being made. I couldn't imagine waiting 5 years!

Quoted: Is the quillon canted? Is the handle turning purple? Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!! |

Quoted: Knife guys are weird. I spent $500 on a MicroTech and I do not use it because I am afraid that the blade will get scratched or the OTF spring will break... |

5 years, fuck that, good thing you didnt need it for an emergency knife fight... I waited 45 minutes for a cheese pizza tonight and I WAS PISSED......

The naysayers came out in my thread when my Model 14 arrived. Ignore them.
Nice knife OP! Congrats!! (Model 25 and Model 14 owner here). |

Quoted: No way would I wait that long for a knife. I'm glad you are happy though.. That's just how long the list is man. There are plenty of knifemakers out there, PLENTY!! But when someone wants a Randall, they get in line, with lots of others who want a Randall. |

Once Bo backed out of the business I lost my fascination with Randall knives. Nice blade though and enjoy.

It's worth about 3k right now, maybe a bit more. |

Well, thank your lucky stars that you did not have to stab anyone in the last 5 years.

I have that same knife with my name and a brass hilt . I bought it as my birthday present to myself. It is number 3 along with a 14 and a 10-7 . I use my 10-7 to cut thanksgiving turkey every year. My model 19 will go in the woods

Nice. I'm suppose to get my dad's Number 1. http://www.cowanauctions.com/itemImages/taa7244.jpg I've been to their shop and museum. |

They'll change the model name to Cerberus, and it will look just like a Ka-Bar, or Camillus, or Ontario. Same price as before, but much lower quality.
|
|
Sorry, but no knife is worth 5 fucking years, and I love Randalls.

What makes it worth the wait? I find myself asking the same question. I would have looked for a used one or a different knife over waiting 5 years for it. Wtf did the guy have to do mine the ore with a tea spoon and smelt it in his rectum? |
|
Quoted: Misleading title is....misleading My thought as well. ETA: Beautiful knife, but I'll stick with my Ka-Bar. |

Screw that, my CRKT was here in a week. My ESEE's were like two days. |

So you are not going to use it, just look at it, am I getting this correctly?
