I'm going to be in the Wheeling WV area for about 17 days at the end of the month. I probably wont have much time off when I'm in the area other than the day after I arrive and the day before I leave. Other than driving into Pittsburgh and checking out the "Three Rivers" area, is there anything else it the vicinity that would be considered a "Must See" or should I just bring a book and stay inside where it will be warm??

Eat at Grand view Country Club in Braddock Pa, just outside of Pit.est view of the city without a doubt and great food.

I used to work there when i lived in East Pittsburgh.

Cabela's in Wheeling (Rt. 70 just east of Wheeling) if you are into the outdoor thing and have not been to one before.

Several casinos, Cabeleas, Carnegie Science Center...

...I like living here, but it's actually a boring area overall

There are some artsy things in the city, like the Andy Warhol museum, Mattress Factory museum, Art museum, etc...

But, if you want a true Pittsburgh experience, eat at Primanti Bros in the strip, hit the stadium during a Steeler's game and go to the southside for drinks

Carnegie Science Center looks like a winner. If it was warmer bringing the bike and riding the Three Rivers Heritage Trail wold be cool, but from what I've seen, biking on ice is a skill set I don't possess and don't care to learn.

Casinos? Meh.

I have two Primani Brothers restaurants less than 3 miles from where I sit in FL

I don't really bike "The Jail Trail", but driving past it in the winter on 376, I've noticed that sometimes it was cleaned and appeared salted.

Besides, you can rent a bike if you wanted

Montour Trail is nice, but i doubt it is clean in the winter.

You could go to Fort Necessity if you're in that area and Laurel Caverns unguided tour is fun.
