Funny show or not funny?
I've only seen enough to know that the Colombian actress that plays the wife is smokin' hot and has a fantastic accent.

It's funny as hell, but since there is a...GASP...GAY COUPLE on the show, some of the more socially conservative will probably get their panties in a wad.

I generally don't watch much TV, but I thought the show was very funny the handful of times I've seen it. My roommate loves the show.

Trivia bit for the day....The girl that plays Haley played Howard Stern's daughter at the end of Private Parts.

And yes, she is over 18.

Trivia bit number 2...The kid that plays Luke is a member of MENSA at age 13.

Didn't get it. Unfunny to me. Just stupid.

2 of the funniest lines I have heard in a long time are from that show.

1. Phil is talking about the movie, The Blindside and says...
"That's the movie about the black kid who plays tight end"
The daughter replies, "offensive line".
Phil- "Oh, sorry... the african american kid who plays tight end".

2. Phil is saying that "he has always been attracted to strong, powerful women... Michelle Obama, Condeliza Rice, Serena Williams... hey, wait a minute."

Kinda funny, like the office but switch it out with a family.

And I hate to kill the mood here, but Sofia's accent is fake. The whole cast came into the store I help manage when they were filming the show in Jackson. Very nice, even let some of my coworkers take a picture with them.

I'm socially conservative and I find the show to be a riot. The show is well written and the actors/actresses are perfectly cast. Incidentally, the big gay guy is, in reality, straight.

My sister in law refuses to watch Modern Family because of the gay couple (she "can't support that [sinful] lifestyle"), but some of her favorite shows in the past have been Sex in the City and Friends.
