Why don't we see more pistol and rifle ads on commercial tv? Is it outlawed like tobacco? You would think with all the violent shows on the tube that Ruger or Remington or Winchester would be actively advertising during primetime. Is it possible that they are trying and being turned away?

Hell, I don't see any firearms ads on commercial TV, period.  You don't see it because it is not PC.

OLN has a couple.

why not spend 30 seconds talking about gun safety and proper handling and at the end say "brought to you by so and so".

Several reasons. One is that a network tv ad is outfreakingragous for cost. Another is all networks are anti, even Fox.

... Ya'll don't watch Shooters World on OLN?

... Quite possibly the BEST show on TV!

They have S&W and Benelli ads on American Shooter.

I'm afraid that firearms ads during regular commercial programming would bring the soccermoms out in protest, and the networks would capitulate.

They don't need to advertise on TV.
