A very nice shooting range just opened where they have two MP5s full autos that they rent out for $80. After the first rental, it only cost $10 to rent it next time. Is this a good deal? Is it worth the money?

The question is "Do you have $80.00?" Is it worth it to YOU? Keep in mind Class 3 FFLs are annual and expensive. This is why the rental is pricey. With subsequent $10.00 rentals, if you went alot, not a bad deal if your into this stuff.

We usually shoot it for free! Just like the Glock18.

is there a limit on how much you shoot it per rental, if you can get some fairly cheap ammo, it might be worth it for 10$ a time after the inital. the closest range like that to me (5hr away)is 50$ per time every time. after the 80$ can you get a multitude of class 3s or just teh mp5.

Rent for how long? Hour? Half hour? Do you have to supply your own ammo? Or do you have to buy it from them? I can think of better thing to spend $80 on, IMHO. [:D] Milldude

You can shoot it all day. I think they also have a full auto AR15 or was it a M16 carbine.

I celebrated the 4th of July by renting and blasting  3 or 4 mags through an MP5 rental.

About $65 I think.

It was worth it, once, for the experience.

For anyone in GA, Bulls Eye range in Lawrenceville that rents full auto for $10 unlimited shooting, + range time, etc.  They've got a great selection, but two that I know they have are an HK MP5 and some sort of Colt (I think they have it labeled as a model 635?) chambered for 9mm.  Love that place. :)

Our local range RangeMasters of Utah,  they charge 25 bucks a pop and you get a free box of ammo with it.  Any other ammo you buy from them at the time you rent you can shoot through it too.  They also have a UMP 45
