Why do people call the Dallas/Ft. Worth area North Texas? One would think the panhandle would be considered North Texas. I'm almost as far North as you can go in Texas. 7 miles South of the Okie state line in the N.E. corner of the panhandle.  And why do they call it the panhandle when it doesn't look anything like one?  And yes, I am extremely bored.
