Now, what gets me, is that there is no liberal outrage over this.
I mean, think about it for a moment. If you were honestly and deeply opposed to discrimination and intolerance wouldn't you be opposed to fundamentalism Muslims perpetrating hate crimes against gays, women, or ethnic minorities? Don't you think that, you know, beating the everloving shit out of patrons at a gay bar is a bit hateful? Shouldn't a hate crime be a hate crime regardless of the race of the perpetrator and victim? That's what a rational, sane person dedicated to fighting hate would say. Why is it that there is near total silence from the world when the Taliban herds women into soccer stadiums and guns them down for speaking back to their husbands? Why is it that all of a sudden there are mass protests when the U.S. military beats the everloving shit out of the Taliban? |

When I was twelve, I helped my daddy build a bomb shelter in our basement because some fool parked a dozen warheads 90 miles off the coast of Florida. Well, this thing could park a coupla hundred warheads off Washington and New York and no one would know anything about it till it was all over.
