So the wife says that she got two swollen tastebuds on the side of her tongue that were side by side and as they were going away she got a canker sore right in the middle of them.

I have never heard of a person getting a canker sore on their actual tongue, just on the inside of their cheek?

Arfcom docs, is this common or does she really have the herpes, plague, cancer, ect?

And is there any way for the dentist to treat it, burn it, ect? Its hurting her pretty bad.

You've never had a canker sore on your tongue? Happens to me every once in awhile. It's like a couple tastebuds turn white and it stings a little. Not a big deal really.

The really annoying place to get a canker sore is on your uvula.

Am glad it is your wife, as sad as that may sound.
Were it you, my God, this is GD, the terrible things and diagnosis you would receive!
Hope she feels better soon!

7 days and it will go away by itself.

Dentist can cauterize it with a weak acid solution, hurts like hell for a sec, but then the pain disappears. Still takes 7 days to heal, but at least the nerve endings are cauterized and it doesn't hurt.

Negatan is the best agent
