I can think of much more appropriate words to use instead of "cool" but yes that is a powerful tool for seeing the devastation caused by the tsunami.

Also the saturation of the farmland with salt water will prevent the growing of crops for a very long time, or so I am told. No farming, no community, so the area ,may become a unhabitited zone.

It's amazing....now they are saying the death toll may exceed 10,000 people in Myagi Prefecture alone....
I still can't get past the video of the tsunami as it approached the roadways...the cars and trucks just stopped....one can only imagine the horror of seeing all that shit comming to envelop you...and knowing you are going to die in just moments. Just....damn... |

You said it, brother. Some serious skin issues, considering all the things going on that no one gets worked up over. Unfortunately the politically correct nonsense is even affecting those who are supposed to be "conservatives", further highlighting why the game is already lost. Welfare state, hundreds of thousands of babies killed every year, anti-Christianity and anti-Male everywhere, but no one sez anything or gets worked up over any of that. Some unavoidable environmental catastrophe and the estrogen just kicks on full gear...

dam, 9 minutes for those closest to the impact.
Ya, its going to be way over 10,000. The small community here on the cost near Houston that got flattened from hurricane Ike lost over 300 people and it was nothing like in the pics of Japan yet they had days to prepare. |

That's is scary to think. 10 minutes isn't long enough to get over the first natural disaster, much less prepare for something like that. For most of the coastal residents, 10 minutes wasn't even enough time to get out of harms way. |
