I think running your country for the benefit of other peoples and nationalities (usually poorer, different cultures, different beliefs) is crazy myself. But that's the path the West decided to take. What kind of a hodge podge we end up as a century from now remains to be seen. But it is becoming a sort of international boarding house of economic migrants, islamists, asylum seekers, whatever.
