Im putting together a BOB, and Im trying to get everything together, and in order.

Also what stuff do you keep in your truck for such any emergency, SHTF situation.

Links to some of your ideas and products are appreciated.

In before survival forum link.

I want a taste of GDs BOBs.

I think I got a bag of Doritos (cool ranch), a Para P10, a pack of smokes, and some condoms in my truck.

2 fly rods, reels, and about 3.7 million flies, a tow strap, a box of .44mag ammo, and some old magazines in my truck box.

Thats about as close as I get to a BOB

I take a back pack with me to work and haul around in my work truck all day then bring it back home. I don't leave a dedicated BOB in any vehicle...just can't afford to put multiple together. I keep it low key, it's a Black with red trim Swiss Gear laptop back pack. Looks like I am going to class.

On the outside in a side pouch is a hard plastic bottle with 20oz of purified water
Inside:
Complete MRE
Katadyn "straw" style water purifier
Leatherman Blast Multitool

Next pouch:
Fire making kit including dryer lint, flint, knife, and some trioxane fuel bars
Little bag with a bunch of duct tape wrapped around a card
about 100' of para cord, some neatly wrapped and some loose in the bottom
Trash bags, ziploc bags
Mechanics gloves
KaBar small sheath knife
Gander Mtn flash light
Couple pens
Extra C123 batteries
And usually an extra mag or two for my Glock 19 that I carry almost 100% of the time.

All this carries very well and the pack looks normal. It's not exactly a true BOB but it's kind of my mix of a "get home bag/bug out bag/just nice to have this shit around sometimes...bag" I change little things to the pack every now and again but I am very happy with how it has turned out and I feel great carrying it around with me.

Rain gear, basic first aid kid, flash light, extra pair of socks, leatherman, Glock 27 with spare mag.  My bag is more of a GHB, if the shtf I will be bugging in.

In my car:

battery jump pack/air compressor
fix-a-flat
donut tire
jumper cables
bottled water
sleeping bag
pair of weather appropriate shoes

in my BOB I have:

matches
water filtration bottle
mountain house meals
hand/foot warmers
emergency blanket
survival sleeping blanket
small shovel
flashlight
portable stove
stove pellets
*other misc items, I can't remember everything

in the winter I add

a heavy blanket
hat
gloves
thermal socks
spare pair of boots

and no, I'm not a nut-job, I just drive a LOT, and most of it is thru very isolated country roads.  I also live on roads which the state will close down if the weather gets too bad. . .I don't want to find myself halfway home in the winter and have my car snowed in and have to sleep there w/o being prepared.

Same gear I go backpacking with (why bother putting together a dedicated BoB, when I already live out of one for a week when I get the itch).

I'm too close to NJ to risk keeping a firearm in my BOB.  I stick with food, water, jackets/hats/gloves for the whole family, shovels, knives, basic survival kit with tools to build fire, shelter, food, & keep up hygiene.

This isn;t really a bug out bag, it is my comfort bag.  It makes most situations more comfortable.  It goes everywhere, it looks unassuming, it comes in handy.

Spare everything for my EDC; knife, multi tool, keys, etc.
Usually spare clothes.
Rain coat.
First aid kit and bathroom kit in Nalgene knock offs. FA kit has bandaids, neosporin, various OTC pain killers and remedies, vitamin c, sutures, and some other stuff.  BAthroom kit has toothbrush, toothpaste, small soap container, TP unrolled and folded flat in a ziplock.
Deoderant.
Meds for a week.
2-3 days worth of calories.
Handwarmers
Batteries
Headlamp
2-3 Maxi pads and tampons (it never fails, despite the regular scheduling of such events they seem to arrive suddenly and without notice at the worst possible of times, often to the complete surprise of the individual who experiences the need for such products, thus, since roughly 50% of the population is female, having some spare toiletries has been handy.)
Quart bag filled with a variety of powdered drinks and coffee, sugar packets, salt and pepper packets, and Stevia packets.
Mint tins marked with contents, one had duct tape and 80lb dacron fishing line, one has plastic bags, another a candle and some other stuff.
Folded sheet of aluminum foil for cooking stuff in.
Lighters
Several micro SD cards with scans of ID's
Big cheap knife
KT Sub2K with 3 mags
Space Blanket
Spare chargers for phones
Plastic forks and spoons
Gallon ziplocks and some regular grocery bags for dirty clothes and the like
Outer pouches have Spare knit hat and work gloves.
Lockpicks
Spare Blood Glucose meter
Lengths of wire
Floss

I think there is more, but I don't recall.  Sometimes I tear it down and find stuff I forgot about.
