The USCG is currently paying:

24 cents per round of .40 cal FMJ.

37 cents per round of M855 A059 is what we call it  A071 is the 55gr stuff

44 cents per found of 5.56 frang

85 cents per round of 7.62mm linked. That includes a tracer every 5 rounds

5$ a round for copper solid sabot rounds Same shit you would buy to go deer hunting

Thats about it. I'm not going to dig through for buckshot and lead slug right now. Maybe later.

So, how's that stack up to the civvie world? I haven't bought ammo in a long time.

Then I can assure you that the .mil is probably getting raped on the heavier loads that the Army and Marines use.

We don't use anything heavier than M855 at my unit so I couldn't pull up the prices since I don't have a receipt for it.  Someone else might know.

well, mine is re-using the brass... reloads. So I'm only counting the bullet, primer, & powder.  I'd add antoher 10+ cents for new brass

Aim Surplus has Prvi made M855 for about 30 cents a round and SS109 for 31 cents a round before shipping.

You forgot $0.16 for a round of 9mm.  That's $8 for 50 rounds.  That's a decent bit cheaper than I can get brass NATO pressure loaded ammo.  I think it is $17 a box for 50 rounds of Winchester NATO at Wal-Mart.  The cheapest is Federal Champion 9mm.  I can't recall how much it is though.

Yup. Sig 229DAKr

Have been for a while now. We're under the DHS.  Not a great decision if you ask me.

Don't use 9mm anymore and didn't bother pulling up really old 1348's (receipts).

We're paying the same for the .40––which, since we're using the same ammo you are makes sense...

Paying a little less for 5.56 since we're utilizing USMC contracts...

A059 is M855 on strippers and bandoliers packed in ammo cans.  AA33 is M855 commercial pack, meaning strippers and 30 rounds per cardboard sleeve all packed in cardboard boxes, 900 rounds per box.

Federal. 155gr for the ball. Not too sure on the HP stuff that we occasionally use when not operating under the DOD.
