It seems to me that anything curious or interesting that gets posted on Arf that is not politically related ends up on FNC as 'filler' within 36 to 48 hrs of me seeing it here.  The wife and I were joking about the cruise thread and now Oriley has it.

I highly doubt it

We've been saying the same thing too.

And of course Becks show and a local radio show here, Quinn and Rose in the Morning, seem to be one step behind Arfcom.

ARFCOM gets news before its news.

I would not be surprised if I walk out my front door and witness an amazing tragic wreck and immediately come inside to post a thread only to find it has been posted and duped 3 times to include Youtube, MSPaint and a 4 page photochop.

I dont get it

I'm sure Quinn is a member here. He talks about his guns all the time. And I've frequently heard him reference stories the day after I read about them on Arfcom.

Yeah, I've noticed that ARF seems to have a little bit of a lead when it comes to breaking news. I'll hear about on here first, and then a day or so later, they'll be talking about it on tv.

Didn't you see the Geraldo segment about the guy who burned rubber pulling into a Quickie Mart and then was harassed by a cop while he was just trying to get some babnanas?

And why would they want to have to WORK to get the news out???

they can just stay right at their desk and troll for it.

At least we don't have to convince FOX that we're being hosed by the current Zer...I mean President.

also 'Get Both'

and all of this http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=254:

Here is the list of acronyms and abbreviations specific to AR-15s and ar15.com:

@ - When prefixed to a member's name, means that the following comment is directed "at" or to that member.
. - Used to add a post without typing anything, means "I agree" or "+1 to my post count" or the same thing as BTT. Also sometimes left behind as a placeholder when someone deletes the content from a post or as a quick post to tag a thread.
+1 - When used with a quotation, means "Ditto" or "I agree". When used in the EE feedback forum, means a good experience with either a buyer or seller. When just posted with no reference, it means "I agree with the OP" or "+1 to my post count, I have no new comment" or the same thing as BTT...
-1 - When used in the EE feedback forum, means a bad experience with either a buyer or seller.
87 - A nonsensical answer to nonsensical numerical questions. For example, someone might ask "How many magazines should I buy?" There is no meaningful answer to this question because it varies according to each persons' unique circumstances, so the canned answer becomes "87". Originated by markm, it has since taken on a life of its own and is used by others who think it makes a funny in-joke. The number 87 is also associated with several other meanings in general usage.
88 - Short hand for a neo-Nazi or, more loosely, any white supremacist. Derived from "H" being the 8'th letter in the alphabet, and HH being an abbreviation for "Heil Hitler". The number 88 is also associated with several other meanings in general usage.

A1 - Of or referring to a characteristic of the M16A1 (for example, an A1 rear sight)
A2 - Of or referring to a characteristic of the M16A2 (for example, an A2 flash hider)
A3 - Of or referring to a characteristic of the M16A3, or (in civilian parlance) a flat-top receiver. Note that the M16A3 is essentially just a full-auto M16A2, but civilian manufacturers began using the term A3 for flat-top receivers before the military adopted the M16A3 and M16A4, so there is divergence between military and civilian usage of the term "A3". Without a definitive military context, it is most likely that "A3" refers to a flat-top, civilian upper receiver. Note also that some civilian manufacturers call their flat-tops A3, others A4.
A4 - Of or referring to a characteristic of the M16A4 (for example, a flat-top A4 upper receiver)
ABC - Armalite, Bushmaster and Colt (considered by many to be the top three manufacturers of AR-15s)

Yeah, I've noticed that ARF seems to have a little bit of a lead when it comes to breaking news. I'll hear about on here first, and then a day or so later, they'll be talking about it on tv.

No joke, I heard about the Boulder fire before people in Boulder...

No kidding. Yesterday morning I talked to a friend of mine from Ft. Collins; she had no idea anything was going on.

I doubt Beck and Co. have the time to surf Arfcom. It's likely that some of their coffee-fetching monkeys keep tabs, though.

I have found that ARF scoops the news by about 10 Min's on breaking stuff all the time.

I'm in to see if beck or anyone mentions 87, get both, or some other arfcom phrase in a subtle response to this thread.  I doubt they will, but that would be awesome.

Is TRG really Sean Hannity? etc

I don't know if the actual talking heads lurk here, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if their staff did.

It's called something going viral.

If it's on Arfcom it's likely on a few thousand blogs, tweets, and Facebook posts too.

As an example I was looking for information on changing the carrier logo on an iPhone 4. I found a single blog post about a loophole in the backup that worked. The next five results on google were repostings of the same blog and had no new information.
