I wonder what would cause a young woman to completely reject her small town Kansas Christian upbringing and seek the exact opposite of what her father was. Embracing communism and seeking out black/brown guys. She met obama's dad in a god damn Russian language class.

Seems like she was trying to get revenge against her dad? Do you think he interfered with her or what?

Maybe. My SIL married an African partially because she was a liberal free spirit and partially to piss off her dad for being so strict in her upbringing.

But if Mrs. Obama did this, karma was a bitch, dying young and her dad outliving her.

My understanding is that in Hawaii, Obama was raised by his grandma and grandpa, because his mom was a hippie. And that his grandpa was pretty much a commie.

Even if she had daddy issues, it does not mean she was sexually abused. Maybe he was too conservative for her. Like others said, she was probably a hippie type or her dad said something she thought was racist and it pissed her off. Maybe she just saw the guy (O's dad) as a nice guy and liked him for the person he was.

Obviously, she was rebelling, but saying she did it out of being molested is making a stupid and illogical jump to conclusions.

Probably, they were ignorant, inconsistent parents. I think they may have been communists, in which case they would have encouraged such things.

Also, you have to remember that Obama's moma was extremely homely. Her only options would have been rich foreigners, or bottom of the barrel geeks. A normal American guy would have had nothing to do with her.

Also, O's pride is his vet uncle is dubious, since he got the story wrong and IIRC he didn't interact much with the guy.
