The best had to be at Charlie's Steak House in Kissimee, FL.  A filet to die for!  Thick and tender.

For something different but good try the Crawfish Stuffed Filet at Randy's Steak House in Frisco, TX.

I have had steak at tons of good places but Charlie's was the most memorable steak for me.

Morton's in Denver week before last. Bit pricey though. 147 for two. Good bread too.

Hard to say, my absolute favorite was the 24oz, medium rare Porterhouse at Pittsburgh Steak Company, on Carson St, Southside. Needless to say, I've eaten many since then.

Churchills in Spokane, WA.  Had the New York Strip, medium-rare.  Absolutely the best steak I've ever had.  Amazing flavor, juicy, cooked to perfection.  $45 well, well spent.  Heard the place burned down though...

Spooky

I'd have to say a filet mignon at Salty's on Alki...probably about 15 years ago.

Salty's is the tits but the best steak in Seattle was Jak's Grill in West Seattle

Fogo de Chao or Vic and Anthony's

Probably fogo

Fogo rocks!!!

But I think the best steak I ever had was at the Butcher Shop in Memphis, TN (I think was actually in Cordova or Germantown). I don't think it's affiliated with the restauraunt of the same name on the west end in Dallas. Two different things.

Here ya go: http://www.thebutchershop.com/index_main.htm

Try Cattlemen's Cafe in OKC.  Best steak you will find anywhere.

THIS!

Coming to post what I was SURE to be a first and was beaten.

Had a ribeye 5subslr5 bought me for lunch there about 8 years ago.  I still dream about it.

I've got 2.

One was Filet Mignon at Coach Insignia in the Renaissance Center in Detroit.

The other was a sirloin at Lucky's steakhouse in Imlay City, MI.

Oddly enough, Pinnacle Peat's in Sierra Vista AZ makes a friggin MEAN Mesquite grilled porterhouse.

It's a three way tie between them, the Ribeye at Ruth's Chris, and the Bone in Fillet roast (MFing hugely thick steak) at Sam &Harry's

Argentina, 1996. Blew my mind. Completely changed the way I cook, order and eat steak.

Details please.  Better ways of cooking the sacred cow are relevant to my interests.
