I know what you're thinking. For it to be a state sponsored Cuban zombie film, it's going to be filled with socialist ideologue. But... actually that appears to be not true at all. I saw an interview, and apparently they MAKE FUN of the the situation Cuba is in (part of the plot being a long standing joke about how the Cuban government blames EVERYTHING on the US, including cloudy days.) I was surprised it was approved, and from what I've seen it might actually be pretty funny. A Spanish production company is funding it.
